Our story

A corner café with a big community heart

Harvest & Hearth started as a tiny corner coffee shop in 2012, when two friends decided the neighbourhood needed somewhere warm and relaxed to escape the rush.

They wanted a place where people could get quality coffee, proper food, and a friendly hello every time they walked in. Over a decade later, that's still exactly what we're about.

Expanding the Business
Moves to a larger high-street space, adds a full brunch menu and more seating for regulars and remote workers.

Winning First Award
Wins a local "Best Independent Café" award and becomes a favourite weekend brunch spot.
2022 — Present

Refreshes the interior with more plants, new artwork from local artists and an expanded seasonal menu.

A neighbourhood café with a community-first heart

Harvest & Hearth Café started as a tiny corner coffee shop in 2012, when two friends decided the neighbourhood needed somewhere warm and relaxed to escape the rush. They wanted a place where people could get quality coffee, proper food, and a friendly hello every time they walked in.

In 2016, after a few years of steady regulars and growing weekend queues, they moved into a bigger, brighter space on the high street. That gave them room for a proper brunch menu, more comfy seating, and a big communal table for people working or studying. In 2018, they won a local "Best Independent Café" award and they've kept that same community-first, cosy atmosphere ever since.

Today, Harvest & Hearth is known as the spot where you can start your morning with a quiet flat white, meet friends for brunch, or tuck into something sweet fresh from the oven. We're proud of where we came from — and excited about where we're going.

Mia runs the coffee bar and knows every regular's order by heart. From perfectly poured flat whites to new seasonal specials, she's obsessed with getting the details right and loves helping people discover their new favourite drink.

Mark looks after everything coming out of the kitchen, from sourdough toasties to weekend brunch plates. He keeps the menu simple, seasonal and comforting — with a focus on fresh ingredients and dishes that make you want to linger over that extra cup of coffee.

Daniel opened Harvest & Hearth in 2012 with a simple idea: good coffee, honest food, and a space where everyone feels at home. He's the one carefully choosing the beans, chatting with regulars and making sure every plate that leaves the kitchen is something he'd happily serve to friends.
